La Haye-de-Routot Chapel Yew
Taxus baccata · Rouen, Eure, France
In a Norman village a chapel of St Anne was built inside a hollow yew. A second giant stands nearby. Continental churchyard yews are less famous in English writing; this site is the natural first step as the atlas grows into Europe.
Architecture inside a tree — pair with Bettws Newydd.
